Triathlon : Swim 10 Minutes, Bike 25 Minutes, Run 20 Minutes |
We will run waves of 12 competitors. Wave times will be emailed to participants prior to the event. Wave time preferences will be on a first come/first serve basis. If the preferred wave time is full, we will issue the closest available time to your preference.
There will be a 10 minute transition from swim to Bike, and a 5 minute transition from Bike to Run.
Swim: 2 swimmers per lane. We have a 25 yard, 6-lane pool. We will have a counter on each lane to record each swimmers distance. When the air horn sounds indicating the end of the 10 minute time, a swimmer who has completed at least 1/2 or more of that length will be awarded the full length. A swimmer who has completed less than 1/2 a length will not be awarded that length.
Bike: This portion of the event will be conducted on our Life Fitness Lifecycle GX stationary bikes. All bikes will be set at the same resistance.
Run: This portion of the event will be conducted on our Life Fitness Treadmills. All treadmills will be set at the same resistance & elevation.
From North: Interstate 81 South, Exit 188 (Dunmore/Throop exit). End of ramp, continue to light, Turn left at light (Burger King). At first stop sign bear left. YMCA parking lot is on the right.
From South: Interstate 81 North. Take second Dunmore Exit (Dunmore/Throop Exit). Turn left toward Dunmore. Travel Over Interstate 81. Turn left at 2nd light (Burger King). At stop sign bear left. YMCA parking lot is on the right.
From East: Interstate 84 West. Take Interstate 380 West to Interstate 81 North. Exit 188 (Dunmore/Throop exit). Turn left toward Dunmore. Travel over Interstate 81. Turn left at 2nd light ((Burger King). At stop sign, bear left. YMCA parking lot is on the right.
