Triathlon : Swim 15 Minutes, Bike 20 Minutes, Run 20 Minutes |
Heat up your winter. Swim, bike and run in the comfort of the indoors! You can seriously push yourself, take it at a slower pace or somewhere in-between. This event is also a great first-time triathlon. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in Men's and Women's categories. Each participant will recieve a t-shirt and a sponsor gift pack. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the event and snack and water will be provided.
The race is conducted in waves of 5 people. You will be with the same group during all three events. Waves will start every 25 minutes. POOL: You can swim any stroke, water walk or use a kickboard. Aqua belts are also available. Volunteers will count your laps. CYCLING: From the pool you will go to the locker room and change (about 15 min) and then head to the cycling studio where your group will cycle at the pace you choose for 20 minutes. Your mileage will be recorded. RUN/WALK: Finally your group will head to the track where you will run/walk for 20 minutes. Volunteers will count your laps. Top finishers will be determined by a percentage conversion of the total number of laps and miles per competitor.
The Altru Family YMCA is located downtown Grand Forks, ND at: 215 N 7th Street. Race headquarters/registration will be in the lobby as soon as you come through the doors.
