Central Counties Health Centers’ 5rd Annual 5k Walk/Run, Saturday, April 9, at Washington Park - Playground Pavilion. On-site registration opens at 7:30 am, and the event begins at 9:00 am. This event is for runners and walkers with a staggered start time for each.
The entry fees: $20 for adults before March 11; $25 for adults after March 11; $10 for kids 3-12 years; free to kids under 3 years. A commemorative T-shirt is included. Refreshments will be provided.
The Springfield Urban League's Wellness on Wheels RV - the WOW Wagon - will be on-site to provide a variety of health screenings including: blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and HIV testing. Tables of information about health education will be available.
Funds raised go to support the primary medical, dental and behavioral health services provided annually by Central Counties Health Centers to 16,000 children and adults in and around Springfield.
