Triathlon : Swim ¼ Mile, Bike 13 Miles, Run 3.1 Miles |
This sprint distance triathlon will take you along the shores of Lake Ripley, traveling scenic country roads and through beautiful downtown Cambridge. You will love the swim because at 7 am Lake Ripley is a no wake lake. The event will start and end at Ripley Park, an 18 acre beach front park complete with a brand new bathhouse, multiple shelters, a disc golf course, a playground for the kids, and much more! All triathletes will receive a medal and tech t-shirt for participation.
Swim: The swim will take place in Lake Ripley. A water safety team, including the Cambridge Fire Department, will be on the course providing assistance to swimmers as needed. Swimmers should be able to comfortably swim ¼ mile in open water.
Bike: The 13 mile course includes the scenic Ripley Road and is an out and back on country roads. The bike course will be well marked and volunteers will be stationed throughout to offer assistance. Helmets are required and must be fastened prior to leaving the transition area. Riders are to stay on the right side of the road and must pass riders on the left. There are no aid stations on the bike, so please plan accordingly. 13 Mile Bike Course
Run: The 5k route will take runners into downtown Cambridge. There will be a turnaround loop near CamRock Café and Sport, which will include an aid station. All runners will be issued a bib number and must wear the number facing the front. Tri Run Map
Transition Area: Transition is located at Ripley Park, in the grassy infield. Athletes should have their transition area set up prior to 6:45 am.
