Based at Xcel Leisure Centre, half way between Hampton Court Palace and Walton, INTOTRI Walton on Thames is a fast, flat course, ideally suited for first timers and PB hunters. Easily accessbile from the A3050 with plenty of parking space for all participants, Xcel Leisure Centre boosts a 25m swimming pool with eight, 2m wide lanes – ideal conditions for an enjoyable 400m swim for novices and aspiring olympians alike. Transition zones (T1,T2) are conveniently located on the left hand side of the Leisure Centre, next to the pool. To enable all participants to leave the pool area safely, transition 1, from swim to bike leg, will not be timed (transition 2 is timed). The bike leg is a single 10k loop from the Leisure Centre towards Hampton Court and back on quiet roads running parallel to the Thames. After exchanging your bike for a pair of trainers in T2, the 2.5k run will take you on a loop along the towpath. 

Approaching from Kingston, please take the first exit on Hampton Court roundabout, cross the bridge and immediately turn right around the traffic island before following the A3050 (Hurst Road) along the Thames towards Walton. After 4km, take the 2nd exit from the roundabout and follow the INTOTRI signs into Waterside drive towards the Xcel Centre.

Approaching from Walton on Thames, follow the A3050 (Terrace Road) past Grovelands Primary School and take the 1st exit from the roundabout marked ‘Leisure Centre’.

There will be free parking available at Xcel Leisure Centre for participants, volunteers and spectators. Please be mindful of other users of the Leisure Centre when unloading bikes and making your way to the transition/registration area.
