Race #1 — SUPER SPRINT

250m Swim :: 6k Bike :: 1mi Run

The American Triple-T Ohio starts everything off with the SUPER SPRINT, a smack-in-the-face for those not quite ready for the brutal hills of Shawnee Forest — literally a wake-up call for all participants in the American Triple-T Ohio. This short race will be the first opportunity for participants to see what they are truly in for. The swim starts off in time-trial format with participants going off every 1-3 seconds on a spectator friendly 250 meter triangle swim course off the main beach at Turkey Creek Lake. Participants will then mount their bike for a 6k bike course that will feature a half mile plus climb up to the Shawnee Resort and back. After completing this challenging 6k course participants will take on a relatively flat 1 mile run that turns around at the base of Lamp Black Run.

Course Directions

BIKE: Exit the transition area and go right on the main park road to the entrance of the park. Go left at the parking lot alongside route 125. Turn around at the end of the parking lot and reverse your course past the entrance to transition and continue on towards the Shawnee Resort. Go left at the top of the hill and continue to the cul-de-sac at the end of the cabin village. Reverse your course and return back to the transition area.

RUN: Exit the transition area and follow cones to the entrance of Lamp Black Run. Continue running past the park administration office to the main entrance of Lamp Black Run. The run turnaround is approximately 1/4 mile into Lamp Black Run.

Participants will tackle the switch backs in Shawnee Forest before taking the final climb up Route 125 before a long 3 mile decent back to the park.
