You'll find strong competition on this flat and fast course, and a distance for every athlete at this traditional NW favorite summer race! Mid Summer Tri & Du offers three distances to choose from (Olympic, Sprint and Novice) for Triathlon, Duathlon and AquaBike. Start and finish in beautiful Blue Lake Park, ending with food and beverages, Deschutes Brewery beers, music, awards & prizes
Entry fee includes
Shirts guaranteed only to those participants that have registered a month before race day. Quantities/sizes limited for those registering after that date. There will be no post-race shirt orders.
Notes
Participants must pay a $5 park fee per vehicle when entering the park on race day. Please bring $5 CASH to keep the lines short!
Swim: Triangular counter-clockwise lake swim (water temperature in the mid to upper 60’s). All swim distances are one loop courses.
Bike: The Sprint bike course is a 12.5 mile course (local traffic only) on Marine Drive along the Columbia River. The Olympic distance 24.8 mile (40k) bike course will head East on Marine Drive for an out and back section and then will head back west almost to the John Gleason Boat ramp. Both courses are fast, flat and scenic along the Columbia river with beautiful views of Mt. hood.
Run: The Sprint and Try-it Run courses are flat and fast within Blue Lake Park, with an out and back section on the Marine Drive bike path. The Olympic course will first take you West on Marine Drive path into the Interlachen and Fairview Lake communities.
Water/Electrolyte Aid stations: You will have access to hydration twice during the Sprint Courses and four times during the Olympic Distances. We will place a porta-potty at the 10k Turnaround on the run course and multiple porta potties will be available at the transition area.
DIRECTIONS TO BLUE LAKE - Blue Lake Park is located 15 miles east of downtown Portland, OR. Take I-84 east to the Fairview Exit (exit #14). Follow the signs to Blue Lake Park.
