This event is great for beginner triathletes wanting to experience the flow of a triathlon without the intense distances of a Sprint or Olympic distance triathlon.
This is also an excellent race for experienced triathletes wanting to jump-start their season and surround themselves with the joy and liveliness that accompanies beginner triathletes.
The 200 yard swim will be a snake-style swim in the College Station Middle School Natatorium. Swimmers will start every 10 seconds and swim one direction in each lane, at the end of the lane swimmers will cross under the lane rope and swim back the other direction. Each swimmer will complete 8 lengths or 4 laps of the 25 yard pool.
The 8 mile bike will be a loop course on excellent south College Station roads. Key intersections will have law enforcement officers doing traffic control. Cyclists should obey ALL traffic laws unless instructed specifically by a law enforcement officer.
The 2 mile run course will be on running paths through Southwood Park and will finish on the College Station Middle School Track.
The race will feature state of the art chip timing along with real time results at the finish line.
There will be a wonderful finish line with snacks and refreshments waiting for the athletes along with a custom finisher medal.
There will be police officers and volunteers at key intersections.
Two water locations along the course.
