The theme of the 6th annual Survive the Burn is “In Remembrance,” and includes a 5K/10K remembrance run and walk, a 5K firefighter race, and a 1K kids race (12 and under). It is dedicated to healing child burn survivors and families recovering from loss, honoring our firefighter heroes and the memory of those who have passed, and celebrating our community and nation, which together allow us the freedom to grow, heal and thrive. Proceeds from the race provide adaptive support to child burn survivors and the families of firefighters injured in the line of duty.
The race is a family-friendly, competitive, USATF-certified, professionally timed race for runners, walkers, firefighters and children. Awards for fastest individuals and teams, and biggest and fastest Fire Department Teams, along with most funds raised, will be given! There will be fire engines, games and activities for the whole family, and a memorial picnic following the race.
