A central Maine woods trail and field 5k on Father's Day morning to help raise funds for the Leavitt cross country team. Walkers also welcome. Same timing system as for official high school races. Performance tees to first 100 registrants. Race begins behind high school by track and football field off Lower Street in Turner.
Not only is there a kids' fun run but quite a few kids now have run the entire 5k at ages 6, 7, and 8. If they take their time, they can do it! Start a life time of running and exercising as a family if you haven't already . . .
Great chance for everyone in a family to run and to run together. Also great place for Leavitt alums to return home to run together once again. Central Maine, no hot top to jar the joints or cars to dodge, plenty of parking, easy surface for the feet, cool in the woods, and a true community event. Event details and schedule
Kids' fun run begins at 8:15 a.m. The 5k begins at 9 a.m.
Pre-registration on Active costs $15 for over 10 and IS FREE for 10 and under. Race day cost is $20 for over 10 and $5 for 10 and younger. Kids' fun run is free. Registration will shut down on Saturday before race day so we can get the race packets ready.
