The 2nd Annual Friends R Family 5k/Family Walk is designed to bring greater awareness to mental health in our community and honor Danyelle Filiaggi. Mental Illness affects 1 in 5 people directly and critical information is needed to help everyone navigate a crisis, seek treatment and recover. Our goal with the Friends R Family Foundation is to bring more attention to this health concern and change the stigma often associated with mental illness.
Entry Fees:
5k: $25 until January 31, $30 until March 27, $35 at packet pickup
Family Walk: $20 until January 31, $25 until March 28 including packet pickup
Please Note: April 7th is the last day for race registration! There is NO REGISTRATION AT PACKET PICKUP OR ON RACE DAY, but donations will continue to be accepted in person.
Course Information:
5K
The exact location for the race has not been finalized, but the 5k will feature rolling hills. For safety reasons, pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices (with the exception of wheelchairs) are not allowed on the course. Jogging strollers are permitted, but we ask that you start in the back of the pack so that your stroller does not create a tripping hazard. A course map will be posted as soon as it is finalized.

Top 3 overall males and females, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group as follows:
9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+
Amenities:
Race shirts are guaranteed to all 5k and walk participants registered by March 28th (availability and sizes can not be guaranteed for those registering after the 28th). Chip timing, water on the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at all turns. Restrooms and plenty of parking are available.
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up prior to race day at the Bel Air Athletic Club on April 9th from 9 AM to 2 PM, as well as on race day beginning at 7:45 AM at the start/finish line. As mentioned above, REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT PACKET PICKUP OR ON RACE DAY.
