The event consists of a 13.1K ( which is 8.2 miles) starting in New Orleans at Irish Bayou on US Highway 11, crossing Lake Pontchartrain via the US Highway 11 - Lake Pontchartrain Bridge and continuing on Pontchartrain Blvd. in Slidell to the finish line in front of Crossgates Athletic Club at Spartan Lane. There will also be a 2 Mile Run/Walk on Pontchartrain Blvd. , for those not up to the 13.1K distance but wanting to enjoy the festivities.
