The 4th Annual Hyundai Hope On Wheels 5K returns to Maui on Saturday, January 9, 2016. The 5K will be held as part of the PGA TOUR's Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Following a successful debut in 2013, Hope On Wheels continues its successful Run 4 Hope on Maui in 2016. Funds raised at the event will support pediatric cancer research and help to improve the lives of children battling cancer in Hawai'i at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children. Last year, with more than 600 participants, Hope On Wheels 5K - Maui became one of the largest charitable runs in the island's history. For 2016, we look forward to having local residents and others visiting Maui join us in this important event.
There will be a post-race festival that will include food and refreshments, live entertainment, vendor booths and giveaways as well as games, arts and crafts, and face painting for the kids. The festival will also feature Hope On Wheels' signature Handprint Ceremony and Check Presentation with doctors, patients and families from Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children. All proceeds from the run/walk will stay on the islands and go towards important cancer treatment programs in Maui and across Hawai'i.
