This race is also the NorCal/Nevada Tri Club Championship Race, with Tri Clubs competing for Overall and Fastest Tri Club. The Chico Triathlon Club is the Two-Time Defending Champions.

Athletes will receive post race lunch a race tech-tee shirt, athlete goody bag, and a chance at both age-group awards and raffle prizes, and do not have to be a member of a Tri Club to race.

The races start from GraniteBeach in Folsom Lake SRA, where the water will be approximately 64 degrees.  Wetsuits are recommended.

The 13-mile bike course for the Triathlon and Duathlon  is a TWO-LAP course located entirely within the park on roads closed to traffic.

The 5-mile run course is out and back with 3 aid stations.

Included for each competitor is a custom tech-tee race shirt, a swim cap, athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar and Emerald Nuts product samples.

First place Overall Male and Female in the Granite Bay Triathlon and Duathlon will receive Overall Champion Awards. There will be awards five deep in each five-year age group for the Granite Bay Triathlon and five deep in each ten-year age group for the Duathlon.

The NorCal/Nevada Overall Tri Club Championship will be determined by finisher and podium points received by Team Members racing in the Triathlon.
