YoungLife invites you to take part in this exciting event. With a top-notch staff, energetic volunteers and an extraordinary location, you can be sure this is one triathlon you won't want to miss! The Long Course is Olympic length, and consists of a 1½k swim in Detroit Lake, a 40k bike ride through the beautiful (and hilly!) Minnesota Lakes Country, and a 10k run out to Dunton Locks Park and back via the scenic Pelican River trail. The Sprint Course will include a 500 meter swim, 20k bike and 5k run on parts of the same course as the Olympic course. This is a great introductory course for those new to the sport or not ready for the more challenging race.

NEW in 2016 is the Stand Up Paddle Board and Kayak versions of the YoungLife Triathlon. The Long Course is Olympic length, and consists of a 2 mile paddle for both the SUP and Kayak divisions in Detroit Lake, a 40k bike ride through the beautiful (and hilly!) Minnesota Lakes Country, and a 10k run out to Dunton Locks Park and back via the scenic Pelican River trail. The Sprint Course will include a 2 mile paddle for both the SUP and Kayak divisions in Detroit Lake, 20k bike and 5k run on parts of the same course as the Olympic course. Both events have a relay option to them, so gather your friends and family and make it a team event! This is a great event for people who are not interested in the swimming portion of the Triathlon.

After the race, stick around for family activities, the city beach, and downtown fun. A Saturday noon lunch is free to all racers and can be purchased by non-racers.
