Back to our orginal site where it all started almost 10 years ago at the Belle Isle Casino. Rest assured if you want to end the season with a lightning fast PR, this is the place and race to achieve that.
With the smell of autumn in the air, most of the island has calmed down as the regular users enjoy a more serene setting this time of year. That is why we chose this venue as a "double" venue, but we will make it one worth doing twice a year. Come to downtown Detroit and enjoy a baseball or football game if they are home. A beautiful night at the theater, symphony, or museum and stay at one of the 4 star casino’s with great food options. So many great things to see and do with your significant other or family.
Course Information:
The swim course has worked really well with Motor City in the past, so that will be unchanged.
The bike is lightning fast, arguably one of the fastest courses in the country, as you get the wind either on the Canada side or US side of the island which enable you to reach speeds over 30 mph. It is closed to traffic with coned lanes around the entire island. The difference will be you will enter after completing your laps on the East side of the island at the fountain way drive. This will be indicated by a bike-in structure.
The run course is flat as well and will loop the south end of the island before bringing you back to the finish line. A course taking you across 4 bridges and around the fountain.
