The Oregon Dunes Triathlon is the first open water triathlon of Oregon triathlon season. Shallow but clean, Woahink Lake makes for a great swim. The bike course winds though undulating country roads and returns you to the park for your run. A combination of trails along the lake, bike paths, and low-traffic roads throughout Honeyman Park lead you to the iconic finishing stretch of this event... The Dune!
Course Information:
The swim in Woahink lake is a treat as visibility is extremely high year round. The bike courses have challenging hills, but it's the scenery that will take your breath away. The run is an excellent mix of grass, trails, paved road, and of course, the epic finish up the sand dune at Cleawox Lake. Keep your head up on this course and enjoy the stunning views from start to finish.

From Eugene:
- Take Hwy 126 west towards Florence
- Turn LEFT on Hwy 101
- Continue on Hwy 101 for approximately 3.2 miles
- Watch for signs to Honeyman State Park and signs for the race.
- To get to the start, turn left (EAST) on Canary Road (signs to Woahink Lake)
- To get to the finish and camping areas, turn right (WEST) at Canary Road (signs to Honeyman Campground)
From Portland:
- Take I-5 south to exit 195B toward OR-569 W/Beltline
- Continue on the Beltline until you reach 11th Street which is also Hwy 126.
- Turn right onto Hwy 126/11th Street
- Continue about 41 miles to Hwy 101
- Turn left on Hwy 101
- Continue on Hwy 101 for approximately 3.2 miles
- Watch for signs to Honeyman State Park and signs for the race.
- To get to the start, turn left (EAST) on Canary Road (signs to Woahink Lake)
- To get to the finish and camping areas, turn right (WEST) at Canary Road (signs to Honeyman Campground)
From South 101:
- Head north on Hwy 101
- From Reedsport, the turn to Honeyman is about 18 miles north.
- Watch for signs to Honeyman State Park and signs for the race.
- To get to the start, turn right (EAST) on Canary Road (signs to Woahink Lake)
- To get to the finish and camping areas, turn left (WEST) at Canary Road (signs to Honeyman Campground)
