The Tour De Force Charity Run will sponsor the second annual Tour De Force Charity Run on 08/21/16 at the Point Au Roche State Park in Plattsburgh,N.Y. 12901 starting at 8:00AM.Runners may register on 11/01/15 at the event website Adirondackcoastevents.com.
Sign up early and receive a discount on all three races.
This is a out and back course which will start on the beach area on beautiful Lake Champlain, N.Y. 12901 at the Point Au Roche State Park.All three running events will have staggered 15 minute starts beginning with the Half marathon at 8:00AM and concluding with the 5k at 8:30AM. The one mile walk will start at 8:45AM.
All three runs will leave the beach area and continue to the entrance of the park on the Point Au Roche Road. Once you exit the park you will take a right onto the point au Roche road and run approximately 500 yards to the Lake Shore Road.Runners will then take left turn onto the point au roche road where all three turnarounds for the running events will take place.
Local police agencies including the N.Y.S.P., Clinton County Sheriffs Dept. Essex County Sheriffs Dept.,U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Customs and Border Protection will be at the different turnarounds for the event and also will be in the park.
If you're coming from the south on interstate 87 you will get off on exit 40 on the Northway. You will then take a right onto the Spellman road and go approximately a1/12 mile and you'll take a right onto State Route nine. Once your on route nine travel you will travel a 1/2 mile until you come to the point au roche road and you will take a left onto the point au roche road and the park entrance will be on you right in about three miles.
