Join the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 942 for the 3rd Annual Soddy-Daisy Great Punkin Chase, benefiting Ronald McDonald House. The course is flat and fast running along the beautiful countryside of Soddy-Daisy.
The 5K is a competitive running event with age/gender catergories and awards for each. The 1 mile fun walk is a non competitive event and will not be timed.
All those who register before 9/25 will be guaranteed a race T-Shirt.
Stay and enjoy the Punkin Festival after the race. There will be live entertainment, great food, and crafts. Vendors and musicians from all over the Tennessee Valley converge to make this an old fashion country festival.
AWARDS
Plaques for Male & Female Overall (1st place only)
Awards will be given to the 1st place in each age group male and female. 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Course is for the most part fast and flat through the beautiful countryside of soddy daisy.
Course is marked and has (2) locations for water stops and plenty of support if needed.
Travel North on Old Dayton Pike to Soddy Daisy. North Park will be on the left hand side of the road. Take a left on Durham Street and then in an approximately 100 ft take a imediate right into the park.
Race will benifit the Ronald McDonald house.
Stay for the fun there will be a Punkin festival which is free to the public for entry.
The start of the race will have fellow veterans performing a rifle start with police escort!!
