The Coosa River Kids Challenge is designed for kids between ages 8-14 that want to have fun and support the American Cancer Society! It involves an approximately 1 mile run, 1 mile bike and a 1 mile paddle on the Coosa River. The section of the river that will be paddled does include some small rapids (Class I). The event will also present challenges along the way to add extra interest and fun! Both the run and the bike are off road at Corn Creek Park so no worries about traffic! Participants will need shoes and a bike that are appropriate for use on a gravel road type surface. Boats and lifejackets will be provided by Coosa River Adventures. Participants must arrive at Corn Creek Park before 8:00 am
A mandatory safety briefing will be given at 8:30
First wave starts at 9:00
