This is a fun race through the Welaka State Forest. You can create a team of three, each person taking one of the legs, or you can do all three yourself. You must have your own equipment - kayak with a PFD and an off-road bicycle with a helmet.
Course Information:
The course is entirely in the Welaka State Forest. The kayaking will be in the St. John's River along the coast of the forest, starting at the end of Mud Spring run and ending at John's Landing. The running will start at St. John's Landing and go back to Mud Spring, The bicycling will start at Mud Spring and return there.
Directions:
Welaka is located in the southern part of Putnam County in north central Florida. You can register for the race online or at the day of the race. It's cheaper to sign up before October 1 online.
