This is a flat and fast triathlon on the banks of the Kanawha River in Charleston, WV. It features a kayak portion instead of a swim. The event order is run, row, and then ride. Individuals or teams of two or three are all encouraged to participate.
Course Information:
The course follows the Kanawha Boulevard from Magic Island to Daniel Boone Park. The row takes place in the river and traces the running route back to Magic Island. The bike ride is two loops between the Island and the Park.
Other Info:
In order to be prepared for the start, drop off your kayaks early, around 7:30 am to 8:00 am. There is a race meeting at Magic Island at 8:15 am. A physical hand slap qualifies as the hand off between team members.
