2016 White Mountains Triathlons:
In the majesty of the White Mountain National Forest, Franconia Notch State Park and Cannon Mountain, this is perhaps the most awe inspiring race in the east. The course terrain offers incomparable similarity to, and the opportunity to gauge your preparedness for, Ironman Mont Tremblant and Ironman Lake Placid later in the summer. Our HIM course provides 3900' of climbing, much of it over long, gradual ascents of 3% ave., interspesed with extended flats in the valley and some rolling terrain. The King of the Mountains prime (HIM only) is over a timed, 1 mile ascent to the Kinsman Notch turnaround for scenery that is unparalleled. The "Oly" course is far less imposing than one would expect and is capped off by a 4.6 mile run. The BBQ and beer on the slope side lodge deck at the finishline affords a suitable locale to stake a post-race claim and cheer your fellow finishers on and enjoy the many sights, sounds, and flavors of this magical place! No one has ever been disappointed with an experience at the White Mountains Triathlon. The attractions of the surrounding region add to this very special race and make it an experience for the entire family. Accommodations are plentiful, all within a 20 minute radius of the race site.
