18th Annual Tom Madzy 5K & Dog Walk

This 5K is great for experienced runners and will challenge beginners. The course is primarily flat but features an incline before the 1 mile mark. Traversing through Berea, Ohio, the course takes runners through the tree lined park, around Coe Lake, across the campus of Baldwin Wallace University before ending at Berea Midpark High School. Trophies are presented to the top overall male finisher and the top overall female finisher. Medals are awarded to the top three males and top three females in seven age groups. All those preregisterd will receive a tech race shirt (a limited quantity of race shirts may be available for race day entrants). The first 100 people registered will receive a free gist bag and refreshments will be provide to all. All participants are permitted to bring their dogs at no additional cost. Preregistration is $20 for runners and $15 for walkers. An additional $5 fee is charged per person who registers on the day of the race. Raffles will awesome prizes will follow the race.

Proceeds benefit any student in need in any sport at Berea Midpark HS, Middleburg Hts. Junior High, Lou Groza Football and Berea Baseball Association by paying the participation fee. Certain proceeds will also be used towards new lockers.
