Don’t let your spring and summer of hard work go to waste. The Ashland Duathlon promises to be a course that combines hills, flats, and fun to close out summer with a bang! The Ashland Du will be the final race in the inaugural TriCounty Duathlon series with individual and relay champions being crowned. Haven’t raced in the first two legs? No problem! Come join the fun and see what sprint duathlon racing is all about.

Course details: The race will begin at Ashland High School and venture out into the beautiful scenery of Ashland county.

Run #1: A quick jaunt to get the legs warmed up, this loop stays close to the high school before heading out on the bike.

Bike Course: After blasting through transition the bike course will take you out into the countryside. Athletes will head out, take two clockwise laps around the circuit section of this lollipop course, and head back for one heck of a finale.

Run #2: The finale run course will give you a taste of Ashland cross-country running as we take a stroll around the high school XC course.

I’m new to running/riding and this seems like a lot… Never fear! The format of the race is run-bike-run and can be tackled by individuals or relay teams of two or three folks. The TriCounty Duathlon Series is all about getting folks to set a goal for themselves and having the support to reach it!

The Ashland Du will be the anchor leg of the TriCounty Duathlon Series. An exciting three-part duathlon series that will keep you engaged and healthy from spring through fall. Prizes will be awarded for individual races, and a running points tally will be kept for both teams and individuals who enter all three events. Register for the series today!
