2015 Northbrook Youth Duathlon:
• On your mark, get set, go! Test your skills at the fifth annual Kids' Duathlon from the Northbrook Park District and Northbrook Bicycle Club. The event includes biking and running (1/4 mile for ages 5-7, 1/2 mile for ages 8-10 and 1 mile for ages 11-14). Bring a bicycle (no training wheels), helmet and tennis shoes. All participants will receive an event t-shirt and medal. After the event, participants can enjoy free pizza, drinks and admission to Meadowhill Aquatic Center from 8-9pm. To prepare for the event, children can attend free cycling training clinics on June 11, 18, 25, July 1, 8 and 15 at 6:30pm at the Velodrome. Early fee deadline will be 7/13 registration after 7/13 will be $20. Day of registration is from 5-6pm. On-site check-in will be from 6-7pm. Race start times will be approximately 6:30pm for ages 11-14, 6:45pm for ages 5-7 and 7:15pm for ages 8-10.
