The original night time gravel grinder is back...bigger and badder than ever! We're sticking with the traditional short route for folks who want to maximize their party time as well as the longer route to keep riders out into the wee hours of the morning. This year we are also adding a 12 hour option (solo or 2 person team).
Hey, it's summer in Texas and you wanna have fun on your bike right? This year's edition of the Midnight Massacre is sure to please everyone looking for that classic beat the heat in the middle of the night gravel grinder.
We're returning to our traditional staging area. This means staging is close toe MetroMess in Sanger but we're still far enough out for some great dirt roads! Spinistry chow (BBQ, beans, pico and more) as well as an appearance by B2D2 should guarantee a grand evening for all.
Routes aren't finalized yet but the 100K+ route should be mostly dirt road. We'll also offer a sissy/newbie route in the neighborhood of 50K. This is a self supported ride and we will not be providing SAG or refreshments on the course. Plan on carrying enough to get you through the full route and maybe a little more. You are welcome to have your own support for meet up along the route but we prefer not to have a bunch of support vehicles dusting up the dirt roads. DO NOT register if you are uncomfortable being in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night by yourself.
