The 2015 Lake Hopatcong Open Water Swim Festival is in its 7th year. To build on the success of our first 12 and uder swim, we've added a half mile swim this year in response to parents and adult swimmers asking if we could offer a swim less than a full mile but more than 100m. This will allow more swimmers a chance to register and build their confidence up to the full mile. ALL distances are sanctioned by World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA).
The 2015 Event includes the following Swims:
2 Mile Open Division (WOWSA)
1 Mile Tom Wear Memorial Swim (WOWSA)
.5 Mile Open Division Swim (WOWSA)
12 & Under 100m Kids Swim (WOWSA)
Swimmer registration can be completed online or registration forms can also be downloaded from our event websited and mailed in, if needed.
Our event, once again, takes place on the beautiful Woodport Bay section of Lake Hopatcong. Since inception in 2009, our event proceeds have exceeded $45,000 and have benefited our local animal and K9 rescue organizations.
