The ninth annual Cox Providence Rhode Races will be held on May 1, 2016. Rhode Races weekend will feature a marathon, half marathon, 5k and kids fun run. With over 4,000 participants in 2014, Providence is one of the fastest growing, affordable races in the northeast!
The Cox Sports Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 1 in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same location. The 5k will follow at 8:15 am and the kids race with take off at 8:20 - all from the same great downtown running festival.
Dates and Locations are subject to change.
Course Information:
The course is a nice mix of historic urban and rural neighborhoods as the race starts in Downtown Providence and heads south towards the East Bay and Barrington, Rhode Island. The tree lined East Bay Bike path provides plenty of shade and scenic views of the Providence river and skyline.
