  • This will be the fourth year of the MinneMan. We have won the Peoples Choice Race of the Year honors for the past two years and are looking to continue putting on a great, fun race for all.

    Course Information:

    COURSE INFORMATION
  • Swim: The 0.3 mile swim will take place in beautiful Lake George which has a nice, sandy beach and clear water. The swim will be an "triangle" style course with just a short run to the transition area from the swim exit. Wetsuits will be allowed per USAT rules.

  • Bike: The 13 mile scenic bike course exits the park and follows a rectangular course with few turns. All turns will be marked with signs and volunteers will be present to direct you. Additionally, Anoka County Deputies and St. Francis Police officers will be at all major intersections. The course is relatively flat with a few slight inclines.

  • Run: The 3 mile flat and fast run course is very scenic and beautiful. Most of the course runs along the shore of Lake George. There will be 2 aid stations along the course. The finish is a slight uphill to a clearing in the midst of picnic gazebos.

    DIRECTIONS TO RACE
  • From Minneapolis: Take I-35W north to Highway 10 west. Follow Highway 10 to the Round Lake Boulevard exit and turn right. Follow Round Lake Boulevard north seven miles to the park entrance at 217th Avenue (a right turn into the park).

  • From St. Paul: Take I-35E north to I-694 west. Follow 694 west to I-35W north. Take I-35W north to Highway 10 west. Follow Highway 10 to the Round Lake Boulevard exit and turn right. Follow Round Lake Boulevard north seven miles to the park entrance at 217th Avenue (a right turn into the park).

  • From Ham Lake, Blaine, Fridley, Columbia Heights: Take Highway 65 (Central Avenue) north to 221st Avenue and turn left. Follow 221st Avenue west to Lake George Boulevard and turn left. Follow Lake George Boulevard south 1/3 mile to the park entrance at 217th Avenue (a left turn into the park).

  • From Coon Rapids, Andover, Anoka: Follow Round Lake Boulevard north seven miles to the park entrance at 217th Avenue (a right turn into the park).
