2015 Payson Sprint Triathlon:
Join us for the 8th annual Payson Sprint Triathlon. The event consists of a 500-yard swim, 14-mile bike ride, and 5K run. Top 175 finishers will receive a participation medal. For ages 15 and up only.

$55 individual
$80 team
All pre-registered participants will receive a race shirt.
No shirt guarantee with late or day-of registration.
$10 late fee assessed after May 9, 2014

Course Information:
Triathlon Race Course:
Swim (500 yards)
- Taylor pool has 6-25 yard lanes.
- 2 swimmers per lane.
- Lanes are split, you must stay on your side.
- The swim will be staggered.
- Once a lane opens up the next athlete will enter the water.
- The swim is seeded 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 60-69, 70-79, 40-49, 50-59, Teams, then DAY OF and Late Registrations last.
Bike: (14 miles) THE BEAST - This is a challenging course.
- The 7 mile loop starts off with our hill that we lovingly call THE BEAST. It is a steep climb followed by a series of shorter hills.
- Elevation starts at 4850 and peaks out at 5150 at around the 3.5 mile mark.
Run: (5k) - The 5k course is flat and runs through residential areas of Payson. It starts at the bike transition and ends at the South end of Rumsey Park finish line. You can make up any time you lost gasping for air on The Beast on the run.
Directions:
From Phoenix:
- Highway 87 north to Payson.
- Turn left on Forest Drive. (Next traffic light past Walmart).
- Turn Left on McLane Drive
- Turn Right into 2nd driveway at Rumsey Park by library.
- Park and walk to Taylor Pool.
