The excitement of Valley of the Sun Triathlon returns! After an eight year absence, triathletes will again converge in Yakima for a fast-paced sprint triathlon. Lake Aspen will be the start and finish, then bike east on S. Naches road and return to run around Lake Myron on the Yakima Greenway. This offers great spectator viewing for much of the race including the finish and awards ceremony. An opportunity to showcase the Yakima Greenway and the Yakima community. Budo racing is hosting the timing.
Event details and schedule:
Individual Race begins at 9:00am.
Teams begin at 9:15am.
Sprint Distance Triathlon features a 750 meter swim, 20K (12 mile) bike and 5K run. Our event spreads out and back over several miles of Yakima Valley roads, through beautiful scenic countryside.
