On a compass, 270 degrees is due west. The Western Runners Club invites you to vistit the western part of Jackson County, Mich., to participate in a 30-minute cyclocross bike race, followed by a 5k trail run. Participants can compete in either event, or both. As May is Melanoma Month, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
Course Information:
A typical cyclocross course has run-ups and obstaces that often require riders to dismount and carry their bikes. This course is no different. Sometimes muddy, sometimes paved, tt is about a mile in length and offers multiple surfaces for riders and runners to enjoy.
Directions:
Western High School and Western Middle School are located about a mile south of Exit 133 off I-94. The West270 Bike & Run will be conducted on the practice fields and nature trails behind the schools.
