2015 Lake Zurich Area Triathlon:


• The area's premier USAT sanctioned Olympic distance triathlon will continue its' tradition in Lake Zurich with the ET Lake Zurich Triathlon. The event has grown to over 500 participants and is one of the area's top Olympic distance only events.

Course Information:


Swim:
  • The swim will consist of a single 1.5k loop Lake Zurich.
  • The course will be well marked with buoys and plenty of volunteer watercraft.

    Bike:
  • The 40k rolling bike course will currently be the same as last year, although we are looking at a small potential tweak.
  • The course is well-paved and 80% of the course is closed to traffic in the lane cyclists are traveling.

    Run:
  • Similar to the bike, the 10k run course is currently remaining the same.
  • It is flat to rolling with plenty of aid stations with water and Gatorade.
  • We are researching a potential change to make the course even more spectator friendly.
