The 8th annual West Union Triathlon will be held in West Union on Sunday, June 28, 2015. The event will be held at the West Union Aquatic Center and West Union Recreation Park.
The race begins with a 3.1-mile run, which starts at the Aquatic Center and winds around the North Fayette Cross-Country course. It incorporates the beautiful fields and trails from the West Union Recreation Park into the course and brings you back to the transition area located in the Aquatic Center parking lot.
After the run, you will either get on your bike or touch the next member of your team at the relay station. The 16-mile, challenging, bike ride will take you on county blacktop and concrete roads north of West Union and loop you back to the Aquatic Center.
Then, you will either enter the pool, or touch the next member of your team at the relay station. The swim consists of 16 lengths of the pool, approximately 400 yards. It is a serpentine swim with a zero entry depth exit.

Directions:
entering West Union from the North on Highway 150
Turn left at the intersection of Hwys 18 & 150 (4-way stop signs). At second stop light, turn left. Drive north about 1 mile on Pine Street and the Aquatic Center and Recreational Area will be on your right.
If entering West Union from the South on Highway 150
Turn right at the intersection of Hwys 18 & 150 (4-way stop signs). At second stop light, turn left. Drive north about 1 mile on Pine Street and the Aquatic Center and Recreational Area will be on your right.
If entering West Union from the West on Highway 18
At the intersection of Hwys 18 & 150 (4-way stop signs), continue west on Hwy 18 to second stop light. Turn left and drive north about 1 mile on Pine Street. The Aquatic Center and Recreational Area will be on your right.
If entering West Union from the East on Highway 18
At the first stop light, turn right. Drive north on Pine Street about 1 mile. The Aquatic Center and the Recreational Area will be on your right.
You can unload bicycles, camping gear, etc., at the Recreational Area and long-term parking will be in the high school parking lot.
