2015 Pacific Coast Triathlon & Duathlon:
• Pacific Coast Triathlon offers something for everyone! This sprint distance race is as challenging as it is scenic. Taking place at Crystal Cove State Park. There is a triathlon and duathlon located at one of the most scenic places in Southern California.
Be sure to hang out afterwards with fellow athletes and take in the experience.
The Pacific Coast Duathlon is proud to host the 2015 USAT Southwest Region Duathlon Championship.
Course Information:
The run up from the Pacific Ocean to T1 is sure to get your heart rate going if the swim didn't. From there, mount your bike and make your way out of Crystal Cove and onto PCH for a bike ride that has breath-taking beauty and, with a few nice hills, will leave you panting as well.
Off the bike and you are tackling a run course that is sure to be fun and challenging. Be prepared to run through the Cottages and then finish overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Directions:
The park is located off Pacific Coast Highway between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach, California with easy access from I-5, 405 and 73. Crystal Cove State Park is located just north of Laguna Beach, California and just south of Corona Del Mar, California. Pacific Coast Highway, Route 1, passes directly by the Park. There is parking both on the ocean side of PCH at Reef Point and Pelican Point as well as inland parking at El Moro Day Use Parking Area by the Ranger Station which can be reached by going inland at School/State Park traffic signal, located next to El Morro School.. A few miles north from Reef Point is the Los Trancos parking area with trolley access to the Historic District.
Coming from the San Diego area, go north on I-5N. Merge onto CA-1 via exit 79 toward Beach Cities. Turn right onto El Moro Canyon Rd and follow to Ranger Station entrance.
