Part of the Get Fit weekend supporting the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Southeast Kansas, this youth TRYathlon gives kids ages 5-14 the chance to try their hand at the sport of triathlon. The swim is in the Pittsburg Aquatic Center Pool, while the run and bike courses wind around Lincoln Park. Distances vary based on age (see website for details). An optional clinic will be held on August 7th to familiarize participants with tri safety, etiquette, and the course. Kids can come try out a new sport while moms and dads can participate in the 5K/10K or team relay events over the weekend.
