The JEPF Sprint to Summer is a 5k Poker Run/Walk and Kids’ Challenge obstacle course event for all ages. The 5k course will be run through the quiet neighborhood streets surrounding Hiller Park. Competitors of the 5k Poker Run will draw a hand of playing cards at the end of the race. A prize will be awarded to the player with the best poker hand. Participants and spectators may enjoy a family friendly BBQ and Super Raffle following the event. A limit of 99 Super Raffle tickets will be sold for $100 each. Various prizes will be awarded throughout the game and a grand prize of up to $2500 will be bestowed to one lucky winner.
This inaugural fundraising event is coordinated by the Johnsburg Educational Partnership Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose vision is to provide the students of Johnsburg District 12 valuable educational opportunities not funded through traditional sources.
