Olympic Course - 1.5K Swim, 24 Mile Bike, 10K Run
7:30 a.m. Start time, immediately following 7:15 a.m. course talk.
Swim CourseThe race is a beach start. The water is very clear as you follow this diamond course. Racers will go to the Sprint Course Turn buoy and continue straight to the Olympic turn. Race floats are always on your left as you go out and return to the beach.
Transition AreaThe transition area is split in two with the Olympic course racks on the conference center side. Refer to the transition area map for specifics.
BikeThe bike starts off with a steady 1 mile climb. Once out of the Conference center there are some rolling hills and a few tougher climbs that may have you out of the saddle. The pay off is your 1 mile descent back to the transition area once you return to the conference center. Olympic Course racers will continue past the Sprint course turn, ride the additional 9 miles, then return to the combined course.
RunThe run course is an out and back on black top tree covered roads inside the conference center. The Olympic course follows the road at the west side of the conference center. Patch work will be done on this section of the course during the summer months. Water stations are present at the start of the run, mile 1, the turn around for the Sprint Course, mile 4 and of course at the finish. The turn around for this portion of the race occurs next to Lawsonia Links hole number 8. Like the bike the run starts with a steady climb, flattens out, then the descent to the finish line.
