2015 Atomic Sprint Triathlon & Duathlon:
The Atomic Duathlon and Sprint Triathlon returns in 2014! You now have a choice with a 500 meter swim or 5K added to the 30K Bike and 5K run courses. Wildlife abounds in this rural yet easily accessible area - beaver, deer, ground hogs, etc. Camping on-site and numerous hotels and restaurants within 5 miles in Lenoir City.
Late registration & packet pickup is Friday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM - location: TVA Melton Hill Dam area, directions below. Race walk through Friday at 6 PM at race site. Arrive at site Saturday no than 7 AM EST for ample time for parking, packet pickup and getting ready for event starting promptly at 8 AM EST.
Choose either a 400 meter swim in the triathlon or 5K run in the duathlon. Each event is followed by a 18.6 mile bike and 5 K run.
Course Information:
Triathlon - Swim in the cool, clear Melton Hill Lake. Water is expected to be wetsuit legal. Same bike and run courses are used in Triathlon and duathlon.
Duathlon: Both run courses use the TVA Melton Hill Park roads for the out and back 5K runs. Aid stations featuring products from Hammer Nutrition will be passed each mile of this rolling course. Run Course Map Link: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/48328082
The bike course has two turn-arounds on the 30K course. The first is at the 7.25 mile mark on Hwy. 95 & second at Central Training Facility approximately 2 miles down Bear Creek Road.Bikes head back to park after second turn-around. Terrain is a mix of hills and flats. No aid stations on bike.

Directions:
RACE LOCATION- The TVA Melton Hill Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Hwy 321/95. The race site is about 30 miles West of Knoxville. From I-40 exit #364 towards Oak Ridge approximately 1/2 mile to park entrance on your RIGHT. The three large parking lots are 1.3 miles into the park on the LEFT before the dam hill.
