The Chickasaw Nation Department of Health is hosting the Heart & Sole 5K Run & Fun Walk. This event is being held to help raise awareness in our surrounding communities and raise funds to support local medical research and educational programs of the American Heart Association. All proceeds raised at this event will go to the American Heart Association. The Heart & Sole 5K Run & Fun Walk will be held at Wintersmith Park in Ada, OK on Saturday, March 28, 2015. The fun walk will start at 8:30AM in front of the Wintersmith lodge. Walkers will be routed to the sidewalk in the park. One time around the park on the sidewalk (taking the dam route) is 1 mile. Registration for the fun walk is $25.00, and includes a sports pack with the Heart & Sole t-shirt and bottled water. The 5K run will start in front of the Wintersmith lodge at 9:00AM and continue onto Wintersmith Dr., to Scenic Dr. and finish back by Wintersmith lodge. Two laps on this sanction is 5 kilometers. NO PETS, STROLLERS OR WAGONS DURING THE 5K RUN PLEASE. Registration for the 5K run is $25.00, and includes a sports pack with the Heart & Sole t-shirt and bottled water. Registration online will close at 8:00PM on Friday, March 27, 2015. The price to register the day of the event will cost $35.00 and will close at 7:45AM the day of the event. Pre-registration is advised! Age categories as listed: 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 & Over. ALL RUNNERS & WALKERS NEED TO BE SIGNED IN AND READY TO GO BY 8:15AM.
