Creative Works Farm/Camp LIGHT and Twizted Creationz is putting on our first event of this kind at our Farm. The 5Krunners will run through the beautiful trails of Creative Works Farm. During your run you will encounter obstacles, mud areas, and of course Zombies. You will have "Safe Zones" free from Zombies.You have the ablility to go around obstacles and mud areas. Be on alert for "Infested" areas where Zombies will attempt to steal your life flags. Runners will receive 3 flags (brains, heart, entrails) worn on a belt around their waist. One additional flag (life) can be purchased for $10 prior to the race. Once all flags are taken by zombies, you become “infected.” You can still complete the race, but will be considered an infected finisher status. Finish the race with at least one flag and you will finish as a survivor.This is an untimed event. All money raised is going to the children of Camp LIGHT for 2015 summer camp.
Course Information:
5K course is run in a natural setting through the countryside of Creative Works Farm. The trails will take you through woods, mud, obstacles, and infected area where you WILL be chased by Zombies! Entire course will be run within the 162 acre CWF property...no main roads are part of the run.
Directions:
107 Creative Works Lane, Waynesboro, VA 22980.(use Purple Cow Rd in GPS if needed)
From Waynesboro, take 340 north. In less than 5 miles, turn right onto Purple Cow Rd. Drive 4/10 mile down the road and Creative Works Lane is on the left.
From Charlottesville, take exit 99 at the top of Afton Mtn. Turn onto 250 west. Turn onto 340 north in Waynesboro (Delphine Ave). Follow directions above
From Harrisonburg, take 81s to exit 235. Take VA-256 toward Weyers Cave/Grottoes. Turn right onto 340 south. In less than 10 miles, turn left onto Purple Cow Rd. Drive 4/10 mile downt he road and Creative Works Lane is on the left.
