Join us in our effort to help raise increase awareness of sexual assault and domestic violence, and help raise support for victims of sexual assault, family violence and teen dating violence.
Albemarle Hopeline is a private, non-profit organization that provides comprehensive direct and preventative services to victims of family violence, sexual assault, and teen dating violence in the counties of Pasquotank, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Perquimans, and Gates. Come be part of a running event that directly benefits survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Enjoy a run or walk on a 5K (3.1 mile) course primarily along streets in the downtown waterfront of Elizabeth City, NC. Enjoy the fellowship and food with other runners and walkers. Make it a family affair with events for your kids too. There will be a 1 mile Fun Runfor children ages 12 and under.

The starting locations for all events will be at Charles Creek Park located in Elizabeth City, NC. The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:00 AM. The5K Run / Walk starts at 8:30 AM. Event will be held Rain or Shine. The5K Race is Walker, Family and Stroller friendly.
CHARLES CREEK PARK is located in the 700 block of Riverside Avenue in Elizabeth City. This 3-acre park is suitable for fishing, outdoor games, boating, volleyball, picnics and just enjoying the waterfront. The park has a wonderful playground designed especially for the kids.
HOW TO REGISTER:

Day-of Registration (Sat, 18 April): Charles Creek Park, Elizabeth City, NC.
ENTRY FEES: All proceeds are donated to Albemarle Hopeline. (Sorry, no entry fee refunds.) Race fees include chip timing and medals for the top 3 finishers in each category. Advance registration fee includes a free race T-shirt.

Race day registration is from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM @ Charles Creek Park and entry fee must be paid in cash only.
Group:
Groups comprising of 4 or more individuals participating in the 5K run/walk together must register in advance as a group.
5K Run / Walk Fee
Group: $25/individual when registering as a group with 4+ members.
RACE CATEGORIES:
5K Walk/Run:
Under 15, 15-19, 20-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 & over
1M Kids Fun Run: All kids ages 12 and under.
TIMING:
Electronic chip timing for each 5K Run/Walk participant is provided by Run the East LLC. Please ensure that you return your chip timing device to a race volunteer after you conclude the race.
RACE RESULTS & AWARDS: Race results will be available and posted shortly after the event concludes. Race awards will be given in thefollowing categories:
5K Run / Walk - Top 3 overall Male and Female finishers.
5K Run / Walk - Top 2 finishers in each age group
1 Mile Fun Run - medal for each child participant (ages 12 and under).
RACE REGISTRATION PACKAGE PICK-UP:
All entrants must pick-up race registration package that includes race bib & chip timing device at registration prior to the run. Package is a small bag; please be prepared to have some place to store bag prior to the run. Bag contents include race bib & safety pins, chip timing device, event T-shirt (only for those who have pre-registered before 11 April) and some coupons for local area venues thanks to our sponsors.
