The Etown Dolphins Swim Team is hosting the Etown Open Water Swim. We are offering 3 distances, 1K, 2K and 4K. This event will be a great prep swim for those who need to gain a little more confidence in open water or are prepping for an open water tri such as a Sprint, Olympic, Half-Ironman or Ironman. We are located in central Kentucky, 45 min south of Louisville, 2 hours north of Nashville, 2 hours west of Cincinnati, in historic Elizabethtown.

This will be a USAT sanctioned event. One day pass will need to be purchased if not a USAT member.
We will be offering a clinic to all those who are new to open water swimming.
Etown Dolphins are also hosting the Etown Dolphins Sprint Triathlon on September 6th, 2015!

Course Information:
This is a loop course of 1000m or 1K. It is an "in water" gun start. Since this is an USAT sanctioned event, all safety measures are taken. The 4K wave will start first at 8am, followed by 2K and 1K. Waves will be no more than 30 seconds behind. The maximum allowed time for the 4K swim will be 1:45. At that time, the swimmers will be asked to swim to the finish line without completing their full distance.
