Following the accident on November 22, 2014 that took the lives of three Minerva students, Savannah Russell, Storm Angione, and A'liyia Hancock, a scholarship fund has been created. The goal of the scholarship is to honor the memories of the three, each of whom was either in college or college-bound, by giving financial assistance to three college-bound students each year. All proceeds from this event will benefit this scholarship. Please JOIN US on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at Minerva High School in Minerva, Ohio for a fun-filled event to help remember those we lost.
Who:
organized by Minerva High School's #minervastrong committee
proceeds benefit the #minervastrong Scholarship Fund
welcoming everyone to participate: Walkers, Casual Runners, and Competitive Runners.
What:
5-kilometer run/walk. The course will start on the Minerva High School track, go out through the surrounding neighborhoods, allotments, and park, and back to a fast finish on the track.
Also available is a 1-mile walk on the track, and a free 1/4-mile kids' run!
Why:
This event is to remember the lives of A'liyia Hancock, Storm Angione, and Savannah Russell while raising money for the #minervastrong Scholarship fund and helping other students achieve their dream of higher education.
