Youth pool triathlon for ages 7-15, and second leg of the Crown Cleaners Kids Triathlon series. 7-10 years olds will race at a 100 yard swim/2.5 mile bike/.75 mile run distance, with 11-15 years olds racing at a 200 yard swim/4.5 mile bike/1.5 mile run distance. Race age will be determined by actual age on June 20, not "USAT age" at the end of the year.
Note on Start time: Seals (6-10) will start at 8:30am. Sharks (11-15) will start immediately following conclusion of the Seals race, or ~9:15.
All participants will receive an official Sharks & Seals logo race shirt and finishers medal. Post race refreshments and snacks will be available. Full race results will be posted online immediately following the race, and age group award cerficates presented to particpants post race.
Sharks & Seals is a USAT santioned race, so all participants must have a valid USAT membership card or purchase a one day ($10) license, or an annual ($15) license.
Day of race registration available for $40, with day of race registration and packet pickup starting at 7am at Springbrook Pool.
Also, check www.racedayevents.net for a Sharks & Seals youth tri clinic, tentatively scheduled for June 6--location TBD. Clinic will be conducted by Joe Peeden, USAT certified youth coach of Provison Developmental Kids Triathlon team. Topics covered include transition set up, proper race equipment and attire, and training drills. Swim suits & running shoes required, bicycles optional.
