Welcome to the 5280 Race Series! This year's Manayunk Race will take place on Saturday May 16, 2015 on Main Street in Manayunk. Beginning just west of Shurs Ln., the course will take runners on a 'down-and-back' course straight down Main Street. Runners will race the final few hundred yards onto Venice Island and into the PLAY Manayunk Festival in front of the newly opened Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center!
The 5280 Race Series is a mile race series designed to provide runners the chance to beat their personal best on some of the most popular main streets in the Philadelphia region. In addition to the Manayunk Mile, the 5280 Race Series will also host a mile race down "main street" in Media, PA.
PLAY Manayunk is an expansion and reinvention of the 2013 Fit Fest. With the opening of the new Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center, the event will celebrate everything recreation, fitness & fun! The finish line celebration will include live performances and a day full of outdoor recreation activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, biking and much more!
