Mostly closed course kids triathlon all within Ft. Custer State Recreation Area.
NOTE - This is a Thursday early evening, 6:30 PM start time.
Swim courses are linear along the shoreline at Eagle Lake. Shallow enough so the kids can stand if needed, or one or two strokes away from that depth. The bike courses are all paved and smooth. There is a grade on the 10-13's course at the turnaround, The run courses are a combination of paved path and grass.
The venue is great and a really nice spot to bring the kids in advance of race night to get them used to the process and the course. Course maps are on the event site.
This is the first of two kids tris we stage each year. The second is the Kids Get Active Triathlon with similar age appropriate and totally closed courses at Ramona Park in Portage, Michigan.
