The Spindletop Spin is a fun-filled family oriented event that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
This year’s event takes place June 6, 2015. It offers riders the option of four routes covering 12, 29, 52 or 96 miles. Each route features themed rest stops and excellent ride security, supported by police, motorcycles and ride marshals.
The routes provide great options for all levels of cyclists, ranging from the 95 mile route being especially challenging even for the most experienced riders, as the typical southeast Texas June heat and humidity climbs during the ride, to the family and child-friendly 12 mile route that features fun for all ages. Eight rest stops stocked with cold towels, fruit, drinks and snacks provide a welcome relief to hot and tired riders. Anyone who has participated in any of the past rides will confirm that the Spindletop Spin is one of the best organized rides in Texas.
