After more than 10 years the United States is set to finally host another World Championships, and now you can compete in this special event -- there's no need to qualify! Registration is now open for a newly announced Open Age-Group Sprint Race, to be held Saturday, Sept. 19 as part of the 2015 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Chicago.

Reserve your spot today to be one of only 2,500 participants competing on the same stage as the best international elite and age-group triathletes in Chicago's Grant Park, with World Championship events scheduled from Sept. 15-20. Don't delay -- this one-of-a-kind event promises to sell out. Registration is open to all athletes ages 15 and older, and no qualification is necessary. Registration for the sprint race is $150, and $220 for the sprint relay.
 
If you have qualified for the ITU Standard (Olympic-distance) or Sprint World Championships, you will be contacted directly to register for those races. Those competing in the Standard World Championships are ineligible to participate in the Open Race per ITU rules. Athletes competing in only the Aquathlon World Championships and/or the Sprint World Championships may, however, participate in the Open Age-Group Race.

GETTING TO CHICAGO

GETTING HERE BY BUS

GETTING HERE BY TRAIN
Amtrak serves Chicago with about 50 trains arriving and departing daily. With 21,000 route miles in 46 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian provinces, the national rail operator Amtrak offers more than 300 trains each day—at high speeds up to 150 mph—to more than 500 destinations.

The South Shore Line services Chicago through Northern Indiana to the South Bend Airport. If you are planning a trip involving a large group like a school function please call for groups rates 219-874-4221 ext. 245 at least one month prior to your date of travel.
